In the world's first live augmented reality race, we challenged the 2018 Acura TLX A-Spec with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive with the unpredictable nature of an ever-changing Augmented Reality racecourse featuring three unique environments.
From behind the wheel of the new 2018 Acura TLX, we had four influencers compete in the "What a Race" AR experience, challenging one another for the fastest overall time during 3-lap individual runs. Each lap triggered a new AR course visible to the driver and the Facebook Live audience, with a unique set of visuals and obstacles that tasked the Acura TLX A-Spec's precise handling to overcome. Cameras mounted to the drivers' helmets brought viewers directly in on the action, and several additional cameras positioned throughout the racecourse provided excitement from multiple perspectives of the race.
